I have been a little bit slacking on the blog… Sorry about that:)

Phoenix is 3 months old today!  I can’t hardly believe it, crazy how time is flying by. Yet when we were in the hospital and nicu, time seemed to drag out so slowly….  But things are going great! Phoenix is a eating machine!!  We have a pediatrician appt. on the 11th. So we’ll see how much he weighs then. I think he will be close to 10lbs, or so I hope he is:) I do hope in the next couple months he starts sleeping for longer stretches in the night. We are so tired :) We are getting this thing called the nap nanny, so we’ll see how that works out for us. It’s supposed to be incredible and helps baby sleep through the night. I’ll keep you updated.

My parents and youngest sister kimmie are coming in this weekend, that will be so nice!

They haven’t met Phoenix yet, and we will be celebrating  Channuka a little bit early. I am looking forward to it.

We also had a playdate with Phoenix’s girlfriend leah Rose. We hadn;t seen Cheri or leah since the nicu, so it was so nice to hang out like normal people:)

Mikey and steph alsocame by for a visit! Fun times:) It’s so nice to see friends..

I went and saw New Moon last Saturday! It was so much fun to get out of the house and hang with my ladies jilly and cristina for a few hours. Plus the movie was great!

We had a small but very nice Thanksgiving this year, John came over and I did turkey breast in the crockpot. It turned out super yummy!

Thats about it for now, just going to get the house cleaned up and ready for visitors!

Here are some pics of the P man

sisters…

One of my best friends sent this to me, I had to post it, soo wonderful!!!

A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day,

drinking iced tea and visiting with her mother. As

they talked about life, about marriage, about the

responsibilities of life and the obligations of

adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her

glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance

upon her daughter..

‘Don’t forget your sisters,’ she advised, swirling

the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. ‘They’ll

be more important as you get older. No matter how

much you love your husband, no matter how much you

love the children you may have, you are still going

to need sisters. Remember to go places with them now

and then; do things with them..’

‘Remember that ’sisters’ means ALL the women…

your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other

women relatives too. ‘You’ll need other women. Women

always do.’

What a funny piece of advice!’ the young woman

thought. Haven’t I just gotten married?

Haven’t I just joined the couple-world? I’m now a

married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely

my husband and the family we may start will be all I

need to make my life worthwhile!’

But she listened to her mother. She kept contact

with her sisters and made more women friends each

year. As the years tumbled by, one after another,

she gradually came to understand that her mother really

knew what she was talking about. As time and nature

work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman,

sisters are the mainstays of her life…

After more than 50 years of living in this world,

here is what I’ve learned:

THIS SAYS IT ALL:

Time passes.

Life happens.

Distance separates.

Children grow up.

Jobs come and go.

Love waxes and wanes.

Hearts break.

Parents die.

Colleagues forget favors.

Careers end.

BUT………

Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how

many miles are

between you. A girl friend is never farther away

than needing her can reach.

When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you

have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life

will be on the valley’s rim, cheering you on,

praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on

your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the

valley’s end..

Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk

beside you…Or come in and carry you out.

Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters,

daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers,

Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended

family: all bless our life!

The world wouldn’t be the same without women, and

neither would I. When we began this adventure called

womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or

sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we

would need each other..

Every day, we need each other still. Pass this on

to all the women who help make your life meaningful.

I just did. Short and very sweet:

There are more than twenty angels in this world.

Ten are peacefully sleeping on clouds. Nine are

playing. And one is reading her email at this

moment.

Happy days!

So last weekend out friends Meagan, Brian, bridgett and jess came to town, and it was so great to hang out with them.

It made me feel sort of normal again to be hanging out with friends since I don’t get to do that barely ever now a days.

The Meagan stayed a day later then everyone,so we got some one on one time yay! Phoenix loved her and napped a bunch in her arms, so sweet.

We went to the pediatrician  yesterday, Phoenix is now 7lbs 9 ounces! So amazing! he is growing so well! We also had a some vaccinations, he did NOT like that at all. I really felt so bad, but we did lots of snuggling afterward and he was a champ!

The pediatrician also said we don;t have to be sooo hard core about the flu shot thing. As long as no one is sick, they can hang out. We are still being overly cautious, but it;s good to know we can hang out every now again with people.

I am missing my friend:) But so very happy my little(or should i say big) guy is so well! No more colitis either!

On a different note, I bought my New Moon tickets the other day wahoo!!! Sooo excited! Gonna go hang out with the girls and watch it. I haven’t seen jilly in 2 months and about the same for cristina. That is just way to long. I haven’t seen Sue in forever either. Hopefully we’ll hang out soon.

GOnna go take a nap before the P man wakes up, last night was a not sleep very much night :(

At least it is the weekend!

yay for that, gonna watch some movies and chill, it is supposed to be snowy and cold….bbrrrrrr

The Clock..

The Clock

God doesn't give you the people you want, He gives you the people you

NEED: To help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you

into the person you were meant to be.

I LOVE YOU!!!!!

NOW YOU'RE ON THE CLOCK!!!!

IN 9 MINUTES SOMETHING WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY,

BUT YOU HAVE TO TELL 9 SISTERS YOU LOVE THEM, INCLUDING ME. GO!!!!

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men.

They bear hardships and they carry burdens,

but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.

They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer

when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about

a birth or a wedding

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they

think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss

can heal a broken heart..

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you

to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what

makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their

family and friends.

Women have vital things to say

and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Weekend update…

So everything went great at the cardiologist! They said he is just fine and the things that needed to close up did.
What a relief! It has been so crazy, I am glad that his heart is doing good!
We go back to the pediatrician on Thursday to have a bunch of stuff checked and done.
We have decided to only do a couple of the vaccinations and spread them out a bit.
I think it is better that way.
Gonna skip the naturopathic doc for now, he is doing just fine. Things are much better with his reflux, and he actually pooped a bunch today. I know, lol. These are the things I worry about now:)

Our friends Meagan, Brian , Jess and Bridget came to town this weekend, so we got to see them for a bit, it was so nice. Just good to see friends that you don’t get see very often.
Meagan is staying a little longer then the others so we get some one on one hang out time. We are looking forward to that.
Had to go into walmart today to get diapers, all I have to say is sooo scary!!!
I will never get used to going in there, at least I know where the baby stuff is, so I go right there and get what I need and get out!
Saw a life size Edward poster thing from Twilight again, and really wanted to buy it for my friend steph, too bad you can’t mail that stuff.
She would have loved it!!
Going to go make some ribs…

New to blogging

So I have a facebook page, but decided to have a blog page as well.

Things are going well, Phoenix is just over 2 months old now! Crazy how time flies by…

Hoping Spring comes sooner then not so we can actually start to hang out with friends again:)

But he is doing great and I love being home with him and watching grow and progress more everyday!

He is really an amazing little guy.

I just turned 34, I don’t know why but it seems like so much older then 33,lol. I am def. feeling it that is for sure.

I get to go out to dinner tonight with mikey and steph, while aj stays home and babysits:) sort of a belated b-day dinner.

We just got Chinese last night and hung out. Pretty mellow compared to all my other b-days, but that’s ok, we’ll have a big party next year, when Phoenix is bigger!

Going to the cardiologist tomorrow to check in on little mans heart murmur, not sure what they will be looking for, but I;m not to stressed about it. Will let you know how it goes.  Then to the naturopathic doc on Monday, to see if she can help with his constipation. I feel so bad for the little guy. he was so regular and now nothing… I know you needed to know that, lol.

We also had aj’s family out here last weekend! We had a very nice time!

It was halloween, so even though Phoenix is so small, I still had to dress him up a bit!

Like my dear friend steph said on her blog, 17 days till new moon wahooo!!! I know so silly, but it;s the little things I look forward to now, lol.
